Bourne End Anglers
We have no waters of our own at the moment, but the ODAA
has a number of waters in the Oxford area, which are available for pleasure
fishing to all BEA members. These include the renowned River Thames
venues at Medley and Clifton Hampden, plus the River Cherwell and Oxford Canal. The club believes strongly in the arts of
fair angling and sportsmanship, and in angling’s role in promoting the
appreciation and protection of the countryside. Matches and day trips are organised throughout the season,
on a variety of rivers, canals and pools. The social side of these events is
regarded as just as important than the competitive side. There is a club
championship that runs over the course of the season, and a number of match and
specimen fish trophies to be won. Juniors also have their own championship and
trophies to fish for. The club is open to new members, particularly juniors
(under 16’s). Senior members have always been willing to provide help and advice
to newcomers. Membership costs £19 per season (£2.50 for juniors and OAPs),
which includes ODAA and BEBCA membership. For more details, contact the club secretary, Mr. Terry
Belcher on 01628-522821, or at
